But we must not stop there. Unity within the Body of Christ...His Bride...the Church is essential. It is why we expel the unrepentant in accordance with Matthew 18 and why we have nothing to do with lovers of wickedness. We are to draw all to the standard that is the Word of God and call them to adhere to it precepts at all times. We encourage growth from varying degrees of glory to the next without "writing off" those we deem as "hopeless causes". We always hold out hope that our brother will be sanctified by the Word of the Spirit just as we hold out hope that we too will be sanctified in Truth. I pray for those who teach what is false that they will come to a knowledge of this Truth that allows them to share the gospel in all its fullness.
Critical spirits are not from the Lord. We are to bend the knee and search the Scriptures knowing that not one false word that is taught is able to move the immutable plan of God and His course of redemption for mankind. So I do indeed see where the Bible teaches us to be unified in those things that are crucial to the faith that we hold dear, and seek to be one with my brothers even as Jesus and the Father are One. Pray for me that as I teach I will one day attain that which I have not yet taken hold of...and I will pray that as you answer the call to fulfill the Great Commission you will do the same.
