My Perfect Day

The rain falls outside the window at the close of a perfect Sunday. Perfect, not because of weather reports or enjoyable experiences (though as a whole, I do typically enjoy rainy weather reports) but rather because it was perfectly designed as one more opportunity for my heart to be moved into rhythm with the heartbeat of my Heavenly Father. You know what...I took it.

Today I saw His passion for the people of Clearwater. He loves them, Oh how He loves them. I sensed His desire for them to worship Him not because He needs it, but because they do. I felt His compulsion toward every single person, young and old to run to His Word with a fervor that drives them to not only pursue it, but to prefer it...to want to know it more than college football polls and fantasy reports...more than fall T.V. line-ups and celebrity gossip.

I listened to a people...His people singing "Your will above all else..." at the top of their lungs and it was good...oh, it was good. I watched people link arms with a vision shared by a generation to make His glory known to the nations and talked to people in another nation as they made His glory known. It was a good day...it was a perfect day...and if I'll pay attention tomorrow...He'll make another one just like it.
