"Hope" has become a word that conveys more of the idea of wishful thinking than anything else. When someone says "I hope so", they typically mean they are not sure of an outcome but it is what they would like to happen. But that is not what the Bible has in mind when it utilizes "hope" as one of three abiding truths in the life of the believer (I Corinthians 13:13). Scriptures use the word "hope" as an absolute and unshakeable certainty. It is what we know will happen before it happens because God said so.
Gabriel Marcel said, "Hope is for the soul what breathing is for the living organism." As you live your day today, live it and breathe it in the light of the hope of glory...which is Christ in you (Colossians 1:27). And know that what we look forward to will take place. I love you all...I "hope" you know that.
