Have a Good Day!

Moving at the speed of life can take its toll. Just getting out of the house is sometimes a little overwhelming...

"Don't forget the thing with your folks this weekend and I need to be at the meeting at 5:00, so can you pick her up from play practice and drop him off at ball practice 'cause I'll be coming straight from my Dr.'s appointment and then I'll meet you at the church, but we have to leave early 'cause they've got school tomorrow and the homework's not done, and remember, you're s'pose to help her with the science project thing...oh, and the guy called and wants to know if you'll coach baseball again this year...have a good day".

The schedule can quickly become chocked full of so many pursuits, there is hardly time to breathe...and then we're out of breath. But the crisis at work, the budget at home, the situation at school, can be relentless. Like a merry-go-round the days can just keep spinning until it seems we're back where we started...and here we go again. Just sorting it all out for the purpose of prioritizing...organizing...managing can be exhausting in itself. But it's not all bad. Among the daily grind are the daily joys...the moments that can stop us in our tracks...take our breath away (in a good way)...remind us why this is all worthwhile.

As I prepare for a new series in February, I'd love to hear how some of you live at the speed of life. Not just hectic monotony as I tongue in cheek described above, but some of the victories you experience...the miracles you live...the laughter that fills your day. So as you live and move and have your being today, take note of the experiences that shape you and those you love and share them with me...and I mean this from the bottom of my heart...have a good day.
