This is your Bible. Something amazing happens when you get into it...it gets into you. I think that's a line from one of those VW commercials, but it aply describes the transformation that takes place when you open these pages and pour over the words. Add this practice to your daily routine, and it will reward you in unexpected and unimagineable ways...wisdom, understanding, encouragment, correction, life. If you want a good place to start, I'd recommend Romans...a well-rounded guide to help us understand how we got into our predicament, how we were rescued from it and what lies ahead. James is also a practical guide to living the Christian life. I cherish the gospel of John...all about Light...all about Jesus. My favorite book is Psalms. No other book moves me more than that one...check it out and you'll see what I mean. If you're wanting wisdom, read a "wisdom book" like Proverbs. 31 chapters, so you'll always have great things to read each day of the week. Not for the faint of heart, but if you just want to dive in anywhere, God's Word will transform you as you learn it's infinite truths no matter where you're reading. I so pray for you that you'll fall in love with this Book...your Bible. I pray that you'll be able to glimpse the story that God's telling about His Son throughout the scriptures. It's unlike any other writing... inspired...God-breathed... flawless. Just as it says..."The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple." Psalm 19:7
